Have you ever been advised to simply breathe? It might become repetitive to hear it repeatedly, but are you actually doing it? Are you taking a breath whether in a stressful or stress-free moment? Have you considered the idea of taking a slow, deep breath, holding it, and then exhaling slowly?
If you've ever tried Pilates, you know that it involves holding positions and moving slowly to feel the burn and fully benefit from the workout - a big shoutout to Pilates instructors for that! The same principle applies to focusing on your breath, which helps you stay present and in control. By closing your eyes and concentrating on your breathing, you block out distractions and cultivate a sense of peace in the current moment. Slowing down your breath allows your body to properly absorb the much-needed oxygen at that particular time.
1.Take a moment during any part of your day, whether it's stressful or not, to relax and close your eyes. It's important to focus on yourself. Consider what you need, what your body is yearning for, and how you can effectively manage and confront the challenges ahead.
To relax, simply take a deep breath. Close your eyes, focus on the present moment, and breathe in slowly, filling your lungs. Hold the breath for a few seconds before exhaling gently through your mouth. It's like the deliberate movement of bending down to touch your toes, slowly returning to a standing position.

2. Reach out to a friend, family member, or your trusted confidant. Have a conversation with them, seek guidance, or ask them to share a joke to bring a smile to your face. By doing so, you can momentarily distance yourself from the present stress and return to it with a fresh perspective. Remember, it's important to take that break - you deserve it.

3. If you have a favorite scent, image, or location, take a moment to focus on it. Immerse yourself in the experience and savor all the positive feelings it brings. By briefly stepping away from stress, you give yourself the opportunity to clear your mind, allow oxygen to circulate effectively, and enhance your cognitive abilities. After this rejuvenating break, return to the task at hand and tackle stress like a pro! You deserve it.
4. Exercise- what - Why!!!?
The combination of exercise and diet affects how our bodies handle daily stress, especially when considering the impact of our environment. Brace yourselves, life may become challenging! Regardless of the bumps along the way, we can embrace it with readiness. Life doesn't have to be stressful if we are prepared for it; it can simply be eventful. And my life has certainly been very eventful! :)
Therefore, start exercising, even if you're not used to it, by taking it easy and simply moving every day! If you don't exercise often, increase the frequency! Whether it's walking, running, taking classes, working out at home or at the gym, or with a friend - just do it. YOU deserve it!
It's important to consider your diet too every day. Take the time to think about what your body truly needs to heal and to be happy and healthy each day. We all deserve that!

5. If you haven't tried journaling yet, it's worth a shot. Write down your thoughts, to-dos, worries, and everything in between. Simply detaching from all those things helps keep our stress levels in check. Let these thoughts be something you can address, when necessary, but don't carry them to bed with you - jot them down instead. Remember, you deserve that!
